Q.LightŪ
Phototherapy is used in hospitals for acute wounds, including burns, chemical burns, skin tears and operation wounds and for chronic wounds including pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers and diabetic ulcers or gangrene.

As early as World War II, fighter pilots in southern England were treated with light therapy for severe burns. Earlier wound closure advances application of pressure dressings, which can reduce scarring.  Light therapy also stimulates chronic wounds, such as diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers and venous leg ulcers to start healing.

Low-power laser is used widely by physiotherapists, especially in professional sports clubs and even for race horses.  It accelerates recovery from injuries but treatment areas are small.

Q-LightŪ PRO offers therapeutic diameter up to 40cm for rapid and even treatment of large wound areas.  With no need for eye protection or closed treatment rooms it has great commercial and practical advantages over laser therapy.

Filter modules Wound with Infra-red, Wound without Infra-red, Dermatitis/Psoriasis, Acne, Pain and SAD provide a wide range of treatments.

There are also special modules for diagnosing and treating skin cancer.  See Q.Light skin cancer

Venous ulcer treatment
Low power laser is commonly used in physiotherapy  and it is now used increasingly in other wound healing applications.

Acute wounds such as cuts, tears and burns heal more quickly after treatment.  Even very stubborn and long-term chronic wounds such as venous ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic ulcers can respond well to phototherapy.

Lasers are very effective but therapeutic areas are small and safety precautions require closed treatment rooms.  This has restricted their practical and commercial application.

Q-LightŪ non-laser systems treat large areas quickly and evenly.  No special precautions are necessary so nurses and therapists can apply Q-LightŪ wherever convenient.

Q.LightŪ CE marked medical devices are safe and simple to use.  They are certified for sale to doctors and to the general public in Europe and Canada.
