Q.Light® Skin Cancer Diagnosis and PhotodynamicTherapy (PDT)
Take up of PDT was initially delayed by the high cost of the specialised light sources required, but Q.Light PDT now offers a highly competitive alternative
There is also a blue filter which is used with revealing creams to aid with accurate diagnosis of lesions.
Both Diagnosis and PDT filters also fit the flexible model Q.Light® PRO (see Q.Light non-laser phototherapy), avoiding the need for multiple purchases.

Photodynamic therapy is a non-invasive method of treating skin cancer, which has excellent cosmetic results.
The lesions are treated with a photosensitising cream such as Metvix® and then irradiated with red, incoherent, polarised light. This avoids the need for ablation or cryosurgery.
